A Homeowner had a question regarding recyclables:
North Carolina is now enforcing a law that requires that PET
and HDPE plastics be recycled separately in landfills. Yet none
of our HBV bins are designated for plastics.
So that we can complly with this law, please advise how/where we should deposit:
- Compact fluorescent lite bulbs (neither Lowe's nor Home Depot will take these)
- Plastics including milk jugs, soft and water drink bottles, laundry detergents, etc.
The Answer is:
The bins for recycling of these recyclables are labeled and are located
on the first row of bins on the left as you approach the bins as you
drive into the area. The recycling center hours are 8:30 am til
4:30 pm. They are closed on Tuesday and Thursday.
